RC28 Conference · Abu Dhabi

Registration

Everything you need to plan your participation.

Registration status

Opens January 7, 2027

Registration opens on January 7, 2027, the day decisions are sent. The early rate closes February 15, 2027, and late registration closes March 31, 2027. Payment details are confirmed with the program.

RC28 membership is required. Participants who are not currently RC28 members will need to join, either through the ISA or directly with RC28 — see how to join RC28 (opens in a new tab). Membership is arranged with RC28 rather than through the conference, and is a separate payment from registration.

Eligibility follows the classification in force when registration opens. RC28 membership is a separate payment.

Contingency Arrangements

The Board and local organizing committee will continue to monitor regional developments in the lead-up to the conference, taking into account relevant travel advice and NYU Abu Dhabi’s assessment of conditions.

Should circumstances materially affect the ability to hold the conference as planned, participants will be informed as early as possible. If the conference is canceled due to regional developments, conference registration and dinner fees will be fully refunded. Participants are encouraged to review the cancellation and refund terms of their travel and accommodation providers when making arrangements, as these bookings are made independently.

We will undertake a further assessment before registration opens in January 2027, and will provide updated practical information on the conference website as appropriate.

Practical information

Plan your visit.

What does registration include?

Registration covers all three days of sessions, the welcome reception, and lunches and coffee breaks. The conference dinner is priced separately and booked alongside registration.

Do I need to be an RC28 member?

Yes. Participants who are not currently RC28 members need to join, either through the ISA or directly with RC28 — see how to join RC28 (opens in a new tab). This is separate from conference registration and is not handled by the local organizers.

Is the meeting in person only?

Yes. As at recent RC28 meetings, participation is in person and no online sessions are planned.

Will invitation letters be available?

Yes. Every registered participant receives a letter of invitation from the local organizers by email, for use in a visa application if needed. There is nothing to request.

Will the conference be photographed or filmed?

Yes. Photography, video, and audio are recorded at RC28 sessions and social events for conference and university communications. Agreeing to the media consent is part of registering, so there is no separate form to sign on the day.

What is the cancellation policy?

See Contingency Arrangements above. Further terms are published when registration opens on January 7, 2027.
