Panel discussion (tentative)

Inequality and AI: New Methods, New Realities

Artificial intelligence is transforming both inequality and inequality research. This panel explores AI as a resource for studying inequality and as a force that may reshape it. New tools can help researchers measure disadvantage and analyze social processes in previously inaccessible data and at larger scale, while raising questions about bias, transparency, privacy, and data quality.

At the same time, AI is increasingly influencing access to work, education, public services, and information — potentially expanding opportunity for some while deepening existing inequalities for others. This panel discussion brings together RC28 scholars with researchers working on artificial intelligence to exchange perspectives.

Research Match

Meet someone new. Leave with a new idea.

Research Match offers junior and senior researchers a new way to connect at the conference. Bring a question you’re working through or a project you’re excited to share. In short conversations about you and your research, exchange ideas and advice, gain fresh perspectives, and explore potential collaborations.

Join us and help us find out whether these focused introductions lead to more rewarding conference connections.
